Job Description
Speech-language pathologists, or a SLP, are therapists who diagnose and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. They work with people who may suffer from developmental disorders, brain injuries, and neurological conditions such as stroke, seizure, or cancer. With the careful and meaningful work of an SLP, patients can improve their speech, comprehension, and communication.
Education Requirements
Most employers require a current Speech-Language Pathologist license through the Minnesota Department of Health.
