Purpose and Commitment

Caring Careers Start Here is a collaborative effort of Care Providers of Minnesota and LeadingAge Minnesota. Our organizations are committed to transparency with respect to our use of artificial intelligence. In this policy, the term “we” refers to our two organizations.

At CaringCareersStartHere.com, we use artificial intelligence, or AI, to help support our mission of connecting people to meaningful careers in aging services. We believe that trust is the foundation of everything we do — and that extends to how we use technology. AI can help us improve website content, expand access to information, and reach more people across Minnesota. At the same time, we are committed to using AI carefully, responsibly, transparently and always with human oversight.

AI is a tool we use to support our work. It does not replace human judgment, relationships, or real-world experience.

How We Use AI

We may use AI to help draft website content, summarize information, improve search engine optimization, support accessibility, or assist with other communication, promotion and content tasks. We also use AI to help build and maintain our employer database, including gathering and organizing information from publicly available provider websites. AI may help us work more efficiently, but all final decisions about what appears on this website remain with our team.

Human Oversight and Accountability

Any content created or supported by AI is reviewed by a member of our team before it is published. We do not rely on AI alone to make decisions about website content, messaging, or strategy. Human oversight is always part of our process.

We understand that AI tools can make mistakes or provide incomplete or outdated information. Because of that, we review and edit AI-assisted content for accuracy, clarity, tone, and relevance. We work to ensure that the information on this website is useful, trustworthy, and aligned with our mission.

Privacy and Data Protection

We are committed to protecting the privacy of job seekers, employers, and partners. We use AI to help build and maintain our employer database, including information gathered from publicly available provider websites and non-sensitive internal records provided to us by our partner organizations. This information may include employer phone numbers, website URLs, and the employers’ physical addresses. Employers can request a correction by contacting info@mncarecareers.com.

We do not use AI to process personal, sensitive, or confidential information — such as job seeker contact details or private communications. AI tools used in support of this website are evaluated to ensure they meet responsible data handling standards before use. We use third-party AI tools to support this work. Those tools operate under their own terms of service and privacy policies, which we review before use. We are not responsible for the data practices of third-party providers, but we take care to use them in ways consistent with our values and this policy.

Fairness, Bias and Nondiscrimination

CaringCareersStartHere.com is designed to serve a wide range of people exploring careers in aging services. That includes immigrants, refugees, career changers, retirees, and people at every stage of their career journey. We want our content to be welcoming, respectful, and inclusive for all. AI-assisted content is reviewed to help avoid bias, stereotypes, or language that may exclude or misrepresent the communities we serve.

Appropriate Use

We use AI where it adds value to our work, but not in ways that replace human-centered guidance or relationships.

Authentic Storytelling

Caregiver stories are among the most powerful ways we communicate the value of aging services careers. AI is never used to fabricate, simulate, or replace the voices of real caregivers. Stories and testimonials published on this website reflect the genuine experiences of real people working in the field.

Creative Integrity

We respect original work and expect all content created for this website to reflect honesty and integrity. AI should not be used to copy protected content, misrepresent lived experience, or imitate others without permission. Content created with AI support must still meet our standards for originality and quality.

Ongoing Review

AI is constantly changing, and we expect our approach will continue to evolve. We may update this policy over time as technology, best practices, and organizational needs change. This policy is reviewed jointly by organizational leadership and updated as needed. The current version will always be available on this website.
