Overview
Job Description
Faith and spiritual connection is paramount in aging communities. In a spiritual care role you’ll assess residents’ spiritual needs through conversations and observations of religious beliefs, values, and cultural practices. In addition, you’ll collaborate with the healthcare team to integrate spiritual wellness into care plans and assist residents with feelings of grief and end-of-life struggles. Your work and presence is responsible for the spiritual wellbeing of residents.
Education Requirements
Some employers may prefer a bachelors in theology, religion, or other related fields.
