Job Description
A director of nursing directs, plans, and coordinates services and activities of professional nursing staff and other caregivers in providing resident care. This role is in charge of interpreting policy and regulations to nursing staff to ensure compliance. Additionally, directors of nursing analyze and evaluate nursing related services for improvement of quality of resident care, opportunities to improve staff efficiency, and respond to concerns raised by resident families. This role is ideal for experienced RNs with strong leadership skills.
Education Requirements
Most employers require current RN licensure through the Minnesota Board of Nursing.
