The Cook Hospital & Care Center is a 14-bed, acute care, Critical Access Hospital with a fully staffed emergency room open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Emergency Room is an acute ready hospital and a Level 4 trauma hospital.
The Care Center is a 28-bed care center that is attached to the Hospital. The Care Center is a brand-new state of the art, home like environment with private resident rooms with lifts in each resident room.
The Nutritional Services department provides meals for hospital patients, care center residents, as well as preparing meals for special functions and meetings. Since we are a smaller facility, we have the ability to meet individual food preferences and needs within the scope of the person’s diet.
There are 10 dietary staff who serve an average of 35,000 meals annually. All meals are prepared under the guidance of our Certified Dietary Manager. Our department works under high safety and sanitation regulation’s, working closely with our facility Infection Preventionist.
